guidelines

Producing the dough:

To make a smooth and elastic dough, gradually mix water and all-purpose flour in a large mixing basin.

  1. In order to make the dough malleable and soft, knead it for roughly ten minutes.
  1. Put a moist cloth over the dough and give it a minimum of 30 minutes to rest.

Preparing the filling:

  1. Combine the ground meat, soy sauce, sesame oil, chopped onion, chopped cabbage, minced garlic, minced ginger, chopped cilantro, and salt and pepper in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Thoroughly mix the ingredients until they are well blended.

Constructing the Momo:

  1. Using a tiny amount of the rested dough, form it into a ball. Roll the ball into a thin, round disc that has a diameter of roughly three inches.
  1. In the center of the dough disc, place a tablespoon of the meat filling.
  1. To form a half-moon, fold the disc’s sides over the filling.
  1. To firmly seal the Momo, pinch and pleat the edges.

Steaming the Mamo

  1. Place the constructed momo on a steaming tray that has been oiled or in a steamer basket.
  1. Steam the momo for fifteen to twenty minutes, or until the filling is cooked through and the dough is cooked.

Preparing the Dipping Sauce:

  1. Combine the sugar, sesame oil, rice vinegar, soy sauce, and red chili flakes (if using) in a small bowl.
  1. Thoroughly mix until the sugar is dissolved.
